The Airbus, initially set to cross the Atlantic nonstop, altered course off Ireland’s southwest coast and headed to Dublin.

Upon arrival, the aircraft attempted to land on Runway 28L but performed a go-around due to adverse wind conditions—likely tailwinds—before safely landing on Runway 10L. Airport fire services were on standby and met the aircraft on the ground.The medical emergency has since been confirmed as the reason for the diversion. The flight is expected to resume its transatlantic journey at 14:00 local time.
