Man, 79, dead of injuries after being struck by SUV in Niagara Falls
A 79-year-old man who was sent to an out-of-region hospital after being struck by an SUV while crossing a Niagara Falls street Monday has died of his injuries.
On Wednesday, Niagara Regional Police issued an update to their investigation into the collision that occurred at the intersection of McLeod and Dorchester roads at about 6:50 p.m.
A 62-year-old man was driving a blue Audi Q3 south on Dorchester. The collision occurred when the vehicle made a turn onto McLeod.

Police said the older man was taken to an out-of-region hospital. The vehicle remained at the scene.
Shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, police said the man died of his injuries.
Detectives with the collision reconstruction unit are investigating and ask anyone who was in the area and has video footage or dashcam footage to contact them at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009259.
